New €55 Million Hotel & Retail Development in Dublin City Centre.
Fitzwilliam Real Estate Properties are delighted to confirm that they have entered into an agreement with a leading European budget design Hotel brand Motel One to provide a 310 room hotel encompassing Liffey Street and Middle Abbey Street in Dublin City Centre. Planning permission on this development was granted in August 2018 and construction has now started with completion of the €55 million development due in the next 18 months.
Motel One is the leading budget hotel design brand in Europe focused on the provision of high quality and affordable hotel accommodation. It now operates 66 hotels with over 18,400 bedrooms in cities such as London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona Brussels, Prague, Vienna and Zurich. Motel One estimates that approx 50 (in both part and full roles) employees will be employed at the hotel.
The proposed development will include the development of a building of 7 storeys in height over basement, comprising hotel and retail uses.

Additionally, it will address the current considered deficit of tourist accommodation in Dublin City. Motel One operates several hotel developments across Europe and internationally and their high quality and affordable consumer offering will no doubt transform this area, encouraging tourist footfall and general retail activity in the surrounding area.”
