Noel Smyth

Managing Director

A solicitor by profession, Noel founded Noel Smyth & Partners, Solicitors, in 1981 before divesting his interest in that practice in the summer of 2017. He has advised on some of the most important corporate issues to come before the courts over the past 30 years in Ireland.

In 1995 he bought into Dunloe Ewart Plc.  Under his chairmanship, Dunloe grew from a €3.8 million company into one with a capital value of over €250 million when he left it in December 2002 to develop Fitzwilliam Real Estate, his wholly owned property
development company.

Nigel Kinnaird DL MRICS

Property Director

Nigel Kinnaird qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in London 1988 and joined Fitzwilliam Real Estate in June 2002. He worked for the previous six years under Noel Smyth’s chairmanship at Dunloe Ewart plc.  Nigel has wide property experience across all sectors both in Ireland and the UK.  In recent years he has been responsible for a number of residential developments from inception through to completion.  This includes the projects at Saintfield and Antrim (230+ units), Tooting, Rochford, Warwick, Brighton, Malahide and Inchicore.  He continues to manage a number of these developments which have been retained for rental growth.

Bryan Lawlor

Finance Director

Bryan Lawlor is a graduate of DCU with an honours degree in accounting and finance. Bryan then trained and qualified as a chartered accountant and has worked in the area of real estate for the majority of his career. Firstly working in a property tax based practice Kieran Ryan & Co. and then working on the audit team of Fitzwilliam Real Estate before being employed as group financial controller. Bryan was co-opted onto the Board of Fitzwilliam Real Estate as finance director in September 2010.  Bryan has detailed knowledge and experience in relation to both property acquisitions and disposals and dealing with banks in relation debt restructuring.

Alannah Smyth

Project Director

Alannah Smyth studied Business and Politics in Trinity and International Business in Smurfit Business school before going on to train as a solicitor with A&L Goodbody. She is a qualified Solicitor. Alannah joined Fitzwilliam REC in 2000 and is our General/ Corporate Counsel. Alannah is an active Director across all of Fitzwilliam REC’s projects
